As many of you know we are very proud of the work that was done on the Amtrak station building. These large projects leave out exterior decorations for good reason. Our old flagpole was very short due to a previous break in one of the sections. It also leaned. That is not a good way to display our USA flag. Our fundraiser got kicked off and about a year later there was enough funds to get this project going. YAY.

October of this year was a good month weather wise and it gave some time to get some things done. We cleaned out the garden and then got organized on where to put the base.. The hole was dug and then rebar and concrete poured. The base was moved to the back of the garden to make it a better view and easier to redo the garden next year sometime.

The concrete dried and life got in the way again until we had some members come to visit from Michigan on Veterans day. It was quickly decided that would be a perfect evening to install our new flag pole.
