http://cymaticsconference.com/wp-plain.php VENUE HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE TRAINPARTY PROPERTIES DUE TO THE FIELD AT LOOKOUT POINT PARK NOT DRYING OUT. ADDRESS IS 100 EAST BENTON ST. LAPLATA, MO 63549.
I will apologize for not putting this out earlier. I do still forget that some folks are not on Facebook where the event was created. There is still time and plenty of room. Especially if you are camping.
First off here are the T-shirt links. For those not familiar with the Virtual Railfan chat page. These T-Shirts were designed from comments that are made a lot in those rooms. These T-Shirts will not be stocked at the event but will be available before during and after the event. Each campaign has an end date for printing purposes. It does auto renew.

http://shinyfastandloud.com/?page_id=380 Welcome to the La Plata Railroad Days Event!
We hope you have a great time!
Below are a few points/basic rules to help make your stay here better:
-
- Places to eat: True Blue Barbeque (On Site), Happy Dog Hot Dog Company (On Site), La Plata Fire Department Pizza (On Site), Casey’s (regular hours), and LaPachanga’s Mexican Restaurant (11 to 9pm). Hours will vary with the “on site” food services, as it is up to each business.
- Dollar General, Casey’s, and La Plata Spirits are located across the street or down it if you need some snacks, drinks, and ice.
- Please no open fires on the grounds/site. Camp stoves and fire pits are allowed. We do not have access to water on this property yet.
- We worked very hard to get the grounds ready for your visit but please be very careful of holes and uneven surfaces. Please bring a flashlight for getting around especially at night.
- The camping area is first come, first serve. We will help you get a spot picked out but not reserved.
- Train watching area will be marked off with yellow tape. Once again, be mindful of the uneven ground. There will be a lighted entrance way to the watching area for nighttime viewing. If you go beyond the yellow tape, you can be turned in for trespassing on BNSF properties.
- The train station will be open regular hours for train service (8:30 to 10:30 am and 6:30 to 8:30 pm). Please do not crowd the caretaker and passengers during those times. The station will be open for tours on Saturday from 12 to 4 pm and the NEMO model railroad club will also be hosting guests in their train room during those times.
- Trainparty.com and APRHFstore.com will also be open on Saturday from 12 to 4 pm.
- We do encourage everyone to get out and railfan the area sometime during the event. If you do not have a car, hopefully, someone that does will take you out with them. There will be no golf cart rentals. Enterprise Rental in Kirksville does have car rental opportunities. 660-665-3396
- There will be plenty of room on the grounds for some yard games. If you have one and feel the need, bring it with you.
- The $50.00 Camping fee is good for your tent or self contained RV and up to four people. Otherwise it is $10.00 per person for the weekend. This includes the live music on Saturday from 7 to 11 pm. The band concert ticket is intended for the locals who want to just watch the band. They will have a different color wristband and must leave by midnight.
- Pre-registry is not required as you may pay at the gate. All entrants will receive wristbands at the gate for the weekend.
- We are sorry for any inconvenience, as our area is not set up for wheelchairs, walkers, or any other ADA requirements.
- We are not responsible for any missing or broken items or personal damages that might occur. The local Police Department may be reached at 660-651-7452.
Thank you for your continued support! The APRHF Board and Virtual Railfan Staff
